Squash is growing in Arizona! Not the vegetable, but the sport…
Squash racquets, or squash, originated in England, and grew across the globe based on where there was a British presence. Squash was introduced in the United States around 1884 in Concord, NH. In 2028, after many years of trying, squash will finally be an Olympic sport at LA2028. The move is on for squash to have even more rapid growth, even here in Arizona.
The Arizona Squash Racquets Association (AZSRA) is an official district of US Squash. AZSRA was formed to help support this growth through opportunities to learn, compete, and enjoy this wonderful, fitness-rich racquet sport. You simply can’t get a better workout in any other racquet sport – and the strategy component takes the game to a whole other level.
